Still Water Community Church was formed as a new church in Rowlett August of 2006 by several families that sensed that this is what God was leading them to do. Each family had a story, but they all had one common theme, God was in it and God was doing it.
Since then God has continued to bless and bring families to join us in our mission, which is to reach, teach and multiply by His grace and for His glory.
After a period of meeting in various leased spaces, we moved to a permanent facility in September of 2007 with two Sunday morning services. We now offer two services at 9:30 & 11:00 Sunday mornings and a third service Saturday evening at 7:00 which we added in September 2008 to accommodate the growth.
Our desire is to communicate to others the unconditional love of God. God has provided a pathway for us to have a personal relationship with him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. All God asks from us, is that we place our faith and trust in His Son as the payment for our sins. Then He accepts us as His very own because His wrath has been satisfied by His Son’s death on our behalf. God then places His Spirit in us and gives us the enabling power to be transformed into the image of His Son, Jesus.
Here is the rub! We spend the rest of our spiritual journeys learning to yield ourselves to His control and lean less upon our own. In other words, if you come to SWCC you will find folks just like me who are not perfect, but in process!
Come join us and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere where there are folks from all kinds of differing walks of life, and who are at different places in their spiritual journey.
We look forward to serving the citizens of Rowlett and the neighboring communities as we share the life transforming message of Jesus.
 Our family has lived in Rowlett since August of 1997 and we love it here! We believe God has led us to stay in this community to be used for His purposes and that may include you. We look forward to serving you!
